on second thought
January 4, 2013
I am genuinely surprised by your response to Monday’s post. I assure you that it
wasn’t a cheap play for sympathy. I had become so occupied with some enormous
tasks looming for me that I thought I wouldn’t have any time for writing.
But then I realized that I’m the only one who can give you updates on our chickens,
the back stories on Jack Elam and Harry Anslinger, and important footnotes to
history like the night I misplaced my virginity.
The tasks still loom, but I’ll do my best to check in as they de-loom. Please hang in
there with me. Thanks.
P.S. The chickens are braving the winter well and still laying, although they
don’t seem to like going barefoot in the snow.

Excellent!
Yeah! And I didn’t even get a chance to comment but I was so disappointed.

Karie and I are considering starting a Rabbitry this year. Maybe I’ll Start a blog as well… Lol
Good luck with both ventures, Mike. Let me know if you do go forward with the rabbits. We have a friend on island who is (or was) trying to find a home for hers. Did you ever find a copy of Al’s book?
Thanks Allen. It’s sobering to find i’m addicted to good writing. The tremors and other signs of DT have begun to subside. Looking forward to the next fix.
Gordie, are you sure your symptoms aren’t from Washington’s loss to Seattle?
Me and RGIII are going to take about 9 months to heal.
AP, this is John at Patty’s computer. Glad that you will continue. I apologize for not being an interactive fan, though I do read all your stuff. Perhaps for 2013 I can provide comments/support.
All support is appreciated, JB, especially from a fellow fan of fowl.
Aha! I knew my threat to come around more often if you didn’t blog any more would spur you into action. Good on ya!
Hooray!!
YAAY!
i never thought it was a ‘cheap play for sympathy’ as we seem to be an unsympathetic lot.. write when you can and don’t make yourself crazy.. and get those chickens some snow boots!!
I actually have found your comments and others’ quite supportive and respectful. I’m trying to teach the hens to wear some thrift store Birkenstocks.
My Uncle Doug apparently has a Copy of Al’s book and will be forwarding it to us. He is a Logger in the interior out there so it may take some time.
Regrding the rabbitry… Not to sure about the logistics of Shipping Bunnies from BC to Ontario but thanks!
