Tours

I very much appreciate you checking out my blog.  My wife Jude and I live in

an isolated community of about 50 folks, all of whom lived off the grid until

bulk electricity came to us last summer.  So the drive for self-reliance is still

strong in our community.  That’s what this blog is about.  Please make your-

self at home and take a tour of our:

(1)   property

(2)  outbuildings

(3)  home

(4)  beehives

(5)  alternative energy sytem

    Allen,
During the short period of high school, I always found your personality to be neat and interesting…possibly a bit weird…however, I have come to realize that “weird youth” is simply indicative of future eccentricity. This I mean in a very complimentary way. Fortunately, I found your web site by way of Sue Johns Gilley’s news letter. In 1986, I hunted bears north of Fox Creek, Alberta, Canada. A rather large bear, one of 2 taken, was killed in a full charge at about 15 feet. That was rather interesting in that I was totally alone in the bush. My painfully short time spent in Canada has provided a lifetime of really neat memories. I truly fell in love with the country and it’s “citizens”. I do appreciate your spunk and courage to pick-up and leave here to move there. You get my vote. Your web site is very enjoyable and I will continue to monitor your future postings. Thanks for sharing your life with all interested parties.

That bear hunt sounds like something straight out of a Jack London novel. When you’re ready for more high adventure, come visit us in August and shoot the wild pigeons that want to eat our blueberries. I’m flattered that you
found me a “bit weird” at FPHS. I’m glad I have this blog now as an outlet for that weirdness, because it’s too cold to be a flasher up here. Please keep checking back in.
