thank you for your service, J.D.
I’ll try to get this post in quickly before Benjamin Netanyahu calls an airstrike on Vancouver Island.
I’m starting to think that J.D. Vance might be a Democrat in deep cover. In a 2020 podcast he opined that “I worry that (childlessness) makes people more sociopathic and ultimately our whole country a little bit less mentally stable,” adding “final point I’ll make is you go on Twitter and almost always the people who are most deranged and most psychotic are people who don’t have kids at home.”
It gets worse (or better, depending on your worldview). In fundraising e-mails a year later, Vance fretted that “we’ve allowed ourselves to be dominated by childless sociopaths — they’ve invested in NOTHING because they’re not invested in this country’s children.” He also described the Dems as “miserable in their own lives and want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
Thus endeth the most consequential month of U.S. history I’ve ever experienced.
