my bad
My profuse apologies for not posting as often as I’d planned. I thought my monitor had thrown craps and I was planning a trip to the mainland in Campbell River to get a new one, combining it with a dump run, grocery shopping and probably a stop at Dairy Queen. I was trying to balance that with a dental appointment and helping Jude with a presentation at our community centre when I decided to check the monitor yet again. It was merely unplugged. We are in the stretch between not enough sunshine for our solar and not enough rainfall yet for our micro-hydro, our diesel generator filling the gaps. So to keep our electric intake at a minimum, unplugging the monitors of our computers and TV at bedtime. Somehow the plug to my monitor fell on the floor one night. I’m at a loss to explain why I couldn’t figure that out sooner, but it’s probably Joe Biden’s fault.
I will continue the saga of my return to civilian life next post. I have something more pertinent today, and that is to remind you that we are going through a phenomenal stretch of our history. I’ve never seen anything like it in my 80 years, including 1968. With a mere seven weeks until the mid-terms, Trump is behaving more and more like a Bond villain. He’s making no attempt to disguise his attempts to interfere with the election. And he has shown no inclination to stop. It’s absolutely breath taking. Buckle up.
If you’re looking for metaphors for Trump’s behavior, look to J. K. Rowling.
Like maybe Gilderoy Lockhart.
