a most welcome clarification
February 9, 2022
In my last post, I said that Gordon, a dear childhood friend of mine, had recently died from a cerebral hemorrhage, then speculated (based on general information) that it was probably quick and painless. Gordie, in fact, lived for a few hours in the hospital. His wife and stepdaughter were with him, and his sisters were able to call to tell him how much they loved him.
I so much appreciate learning this, both because it gave his family a chance to say goodbye, and it gives the rest of us who loved him some comfort for our closure. I can’t imagine Gordie having an enemy in the world. If you’d had the pleasure of knowing him, you would have been a friend of his as well.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
Thank you. It’s tough enough to be a human these days without losing a cherished friend. How is your winter going?
