hanging in there
Next Tuesday I get my left lung x-rayed again. I’m hoping that the hole in it is healing as my doctor predicted, and I have some empirical evidence that it is. I take readings of the oxygen saturation in my arterial blood throughout the day. An acceptable range is 95 to 100%, and I’ve steadily come up from an average of 93 to 96. It has varied widely and sometimes I have to go from finger to finger to get a reading.
I can’t lift anything heavier than a beer. Fortunately, October is a sportsperson’s dream. Major League Baseball is well into its playoffs. Pro and college football is in full swing. Pro basketball has just started, and the Golden State Warriors have a balanced squad. Fourteen of their players logged 11 minutes or more in their first game, knocking off the Lakers.
Our off-grid energy system is cooperating, so that’s a Random-Chance-send. We’ve had very little rain so far this month for the micro-hydro, but still plenty of solar until the heavy stuff gets here.
And it helps that I’m married to the greatest woman in the world. Jude is not only doing most everything, she’s doing it with grace and humour. She’s the toughest person I’ve ever met.

Well extra thanks to Ms Jude then.
Keep improving. At least you can lift a beer!
Hey, Kate. I extra thank her all the time. Here’s hoping your winter preparations are going well.
