I don’t usually ridicule people for their physical appearance, but I have no problem slighting Trump since he has yet to disprove Bill Maher’s claim that Aging Orange’s father was an orangutan. Besides, as Hawkeye Pierce told Frank Burns on TV’s M*A*S*H, “you invite abuse, it would be impolite not to accept it.”

More and more sunlight is creeping into Donny Jon’s hairline as he squanders more and more of his credibility trying to convince us there’s nothing to see here re: the Epstein files. It’s no problem for me to continue not believing anything he says, but the real story here is that he’s losing his base over the files.

If he continues to alienate his hardcore followers, he could pay dearly in next year’s mid-term elections. This happens a lot: to Dubya in 2006, Obama in 2010 and Biden (albeit narrowly) in 2022. Trump himself got clobbered in 2018.

And the more the seething masses demand clarification, the more Trump obfuscates. It’s his practice to dig in and double down the worse things get. I’m counting on it. It’s difficult to believe him preach against pedophilia knowing that he barged into the dressing room at a Miss Teen USA pageant and that he once said he’d date Ivanka if she wasn’t his daughter.
