letting the days go by

With the promise of an all-day drizzle on the farm, today is sorta a holiday for me. Most notably, Jude and I are proud to announce that our micro-hydro system is optimum again. Our friend Ian, who installed the original gear and its upgrades, ferried over from nearby Cortes Island and brought the rig to full power straightaway. Now we have electricity galore.

I’m limiting my political watching. I’m resigned to the genuine possibility that Trump could win. His consistent decline in acuity somehow doesn’t hurt his poll numbers. He could be certifiable by his inauguration. Harris is still scrapping mightily. I draw comfort from the record turnout of early voters in Georgia and North Carolina. That’s generally good news for the Dems.
