an inconvenient incest
In my last post I hoped that J.D. Vance’s gaffe about childless cat-ladies would be his Sarah Palin/Katie Couric moment, but he’s already topped (or bottomed) himself. When asked in a 2021 interview “should a woman be forced to carry a child to term after she had been a victim of incest or rape?”, he responded, “It’s not whether a woman should be forced to bring a child to term, it’s whether a child should be allowed to live, even though the circumstances of that child’s birth are somehow inconvenient or a problem to the society.”
Yes, he said that. And then, to further prove his hillbilly he-manliness, he added “above all, we want women and young boys in the womb to have the right to life.”
I recently fretted that Biden was hurting the Democrats by taking so long to withdraw from the race, but now I think it may have been nigh on perfect. With time running out for the Dems, Trump may have thought he was such a shoo-in he could pick a clone of himself for his veep.
