checking in
Even with several snow piles still melting, today feels right springly on the farm. We’ve hit 11 degrees C. (52 F.), the warmest it’s been here since last November 6th. My recovery is steady but frustrating. Jude and I just returned from a walk around the yard. As the dogs romped in the shoal of Pond Near (the one closer to the house, the other one is Pond Far), I imaged countless projects that I can’t start until April 8th at the soonest. That’s when I tele-talk to my surgeon as he presumably looks at a fresh X-ray of my lung. Hopefully he’ll take me off light duty.
It’s not that there’s not plenty of distractions. March Madness starts soon. I’m hoping KU can salvage their season after losing four of their last five games. It will be exciting regardless. It’s the most equitable tournament of all sports.
I’m more optimistic about current events as well. Trump is relentlessly Trump. He has no choice. But he can do little but keep recycling his lies, and even enablers can get fed up. He continues to raise money. However, a big chunk of that goes to his mounting legal fees. He can’t keep attacking E. Jean Carroll forever. I’ve got to believe that even his most ardent supporters will have to chose food over bullshit at some point.
It helps that the Dems have logged some wins. Biden seems to have survived his son Hunter’s worst problems and is looking good out on the road. It looks like Fani Willis will prevail, although she faces re-election this fall. Even if we don’t get a verdict before November, just one trial would give us regular reminders of Trump’s malfeasance and his spirited denial of such.

60 degrees here. I was working outside and couldn’t take the heat!!! Is the sun closer here or something?
You think that the people who are for Trump care anything about his finances or trouble he gets in but always gets out of? There are legions of people lined up to vote for him. No body knows anything Biden has done for them and the Democrats are so boring. They have held back all the progressives and young people in the party. Trump has a very good chance of winning.
Today Peter listened to a webinar about Revoking your US Citizenship. Basically it was a sales pitch by lawyers who do that sort of think. It would cost us at least 20 thousand to the lawyers and 5 thousand to the US. We would not live long enough to recoup the money. We missed the boat. I would like to have that Part B or Medicare. We have to have a special accountant to to our taxes because of our US Citizenship and their taxing our investments up here.
Did you know that Pat Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame was one of the “Good Morning Vietnam” DJs ? Now he is a right wing crazy Republican Christian who believes in crazy Marjorie Green shit.
Hang in there

Pittsburg temps rose to near 80F…nice to see some warming trend up North…even nicer to learn you are “on the heal” even if you are impatient, with visions of future projects…March Madness offers some respite. As for the Mad MAGA Hatter, he offers me ample opportunities to resort to prayer…he is truly frightening but those who believe in the nonsense he speaks are terrifying. Heal, Marine
